Analysis and Diagnosis:

During periodic processing of accruals/deferrals (RERAALCN) in Flexible RE, the above error message occured. The key date entered is 01/01/2010. See screenshot:

Processing terminated, as date 01/31/2010 in company code 0001 falls in a future fiscal year.

Solution and procedures:

You must check the key date entered. You can only process in a future fiscal year once the year-specific data has been transferred into the new fiscal year. If the date 01/31/2010 you’ve entered is correct, you must first carry out the year change in the Accrual Engine. Otherwise, input a correct date.

Here’s a guide on how to carry out the year change in Accrual Engine (for RE component):

Path: IMG → Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) → Accounting → Accrual/Deferral → Accrual/Deferral → Basic Settings → Open Fiscal Year for Accrual Postings.

Transaction Code: SPRO

In the Determine Work Area: Entry dialog screen, select RE in the Applic. Component. Choose Enter.

In the ‘Change View “Fiscal Years in the Accrual Engine”: Overview screen, change the value of Completed Fiscal Year to 2009.
