The last closed fiscal year has not been defined for BP01.

Diagnosis and Analysis:

During creation of an Accrual object through transaction ACACTREE01 – Create Accrual Objects , the above error message “The last closed fiscal year has not been defined for BP01″ occured.

In Accrual Engine Customizing, the last closed fiscal year has not been specified for Company Code BP01.

System Response:

Processing cannot be continued.

Solution & Procedures:

Make the corresponding setting in Accrual Engine Customizing. To make the required setting, follow this path:

Path: IMG → Financial Accounting → General Ledger Accounting → Business Transactions → Manual Accruals → Basic Settings → Open Fiscal Year for Accrual Postings.

Transaction Code: SPRO

The Change View “Fiscal Years in the Accrual Engine”: Overview screen appears. In the Completed Fiscal Year column, enter the last closed fiscal year. Example, current fiscal year is 2009 enter 2008 as your last closed fiscal year. This will mean then no more accrual postings can be made in fiscal year 2008.

Then save the configuration change.

Try to Create An Accrual Object. The system should not display anymore the above error message.
