Diagnosis and Analysis:

During posting to a cost element in FI, the above error message occured. In the CO assignment, the internal order was filled up and the cost center field left blank. The user was not aware whether the IO entered is real or statistical order. There are no other cost objects was entered.

All given account assignment objects (order, project) are defined as statistical.

System Response:

Statistical orders or projects are ignored when FI and CO are reconciled. You must enter a cost center, order, project, or cost objects to which the costs are posted for CO postings.

Solution and Procedure:

During posting, without knowing that the internal order is only an statistical order. Upon checking the order master record, it is set as statistical one.

Enter a cost center, an order, a project, or a cost object that is not statistical. The posting row affected is 001 and the account is 600000.

During posting to a revenue or cost element, at least one cost objects (order, project, cost center, & the like) should be assigned.

Note: All postings to a revenue/cost elements must have a real cost object assigned. Only one real cost object is valid, nothwithstanding the number of cost objects entered during posting. Example, you’ve entered an internal order that is REAL and a cost center. The system treat the IO as real posting, whereas; the cost center posting is only statistical.
