Error Message:

“Aquisition Value Negative in Area 01″

Analysis:

During settlement of internal order values to an asset, error message “acquisition value negative in area 01″ appeared.

The error occured because the current settings of depreciation area 01 of the asset does not allow posting of negative values. You have maintained in your settlement profile that the amount to be settled to the asset is negative.

Solution:

Activate negative values check box in the asset master data. See screen shot below. If the check box for negative values is not yet existing in the current layout of your asset, you should configure it to either required or optional field.

Then save your changes.

You may now execute the settlement of internal order to the asset. The asset accept posting of negative values.
