SAP BPC: Input Schedules versus Report

Author: sapexpert | Files under SAP BPC

SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC) has two templates; Input Schedule templates and Report templates. Below is short comparison between input schedules and reports.

  • Input Schedules - are used to write data to the database for base-level members. From business users point of view, it can be accessed through this path:

Planning & Consolidation tab → eSubmit → Open Schedule Library.

  • Reports – whereas reports are used to retrieve requested data from the database into an Excel interface; thus,  allowing business users to do analysis of the retrieved data. From business users point of view, reports can be accessed through this path:

Planning & Consolidation tab → eAnalyze → Open Report Library.

Note that both Input schedules and reports utilize the same formatting options and current view (from the action pane).
